Right now, we are designing, planning and beginning to build the Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail. The trail will help allay safety concerns on Route 9D and manage visitation to the Hudson Highlands. It will also be an inspiring way to experience the beauty of the area, appointed with enhanced amenities and safer, more convenient access to your favorite trails and viewsheds.
You can help us get the trail built with an Early Bird gift to our capital fund. Joining the Early Bird donor group will provide you with special benefits, recognition and exciting behind the scenes experiences.
Become a Volunteer
Even though the trail is still in the planning phase, our burgeoning volunteer crew has already been very active with us in the project area! From helping clean-up local parks, to leading tie-dyeing at our Community Day event, there is plenty to do now and there will be much more to get involved with as the Fjord Trail moves from vision to implementation. We hope you'll join our volunteer list, where you can indicate your preferences for types of volunteer work, and receive emails when we could use a hand!
