The Hudson Highlands Fjord Trail is a proposed linear park, planned to span 7.5 walkable, bikeable miles between New York’s Village of Cold Spring and the City of Beacon, built with accessibility and inclusivity in mind. New York's State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) requires that before a project like the Fjord Trail can begin permitting or construction, it must be evaluated for impacts through a thorough environmental review process. The Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement (DGEIS) and Public Comment Period are part of this process.
